Getting ready

Friends have been urging us to start a blog for our road trip this summer.  So, here it is!  This is my first attempt at a blog.  We're leaving in a week, and we're busy packing and getting organized.  Here is our itinerary:

June 24 - Holyoke
June 25 - Pittsford, NY
June 26 - Niagara Falls
June 27, 28 - Pittsburgh
June 29, 30- Asheville, NC
July 1 - Atlanta
July 2,3,4 - Mobile, AL
July 5, 6 - Memphis, TN
July 7 - Lawrence, KS
July 8,9,10 (or so) - Boulder, CO

Things will be a bit flexible for the next few days.  I'll post on this as often as possible and see how it goes.

Wish me luck...

  1. Ok we are ready and waiting out here in Idaho. I think that it is one of the most memorable things I have done with my kids, to drive across the county so enjoy it as much as you can. I can not wait to give all of you huge hugs!!! Enjoy Shannon, Amanda, Brook

  2. Not sure what we are going to do without you back here in Maine... 6 weeks is along time to be Stevenless. We wish you luck and a happy adventure!

  3. Okay, this being my first experience replying, following and now being officially deflowered as a blog responder - please be gentle with any grammar critique. On the bright side Ms Young et al, I will be remainng in the area until I meet up with Mama Mary and her crazy tin can voyagers in SF on July 23. I am thrilled for Mary and the kids to be going on such a memorable adventure, but as D-day approaches, we are all getting sad that I won't be joining up until we meet up at the Rennaissance in downtown SF on July 23.

    Happy Trails Papa San Chris

The kids are in a Waldorf School and we are all learning Spanish. We've met quite a few Waldorf-hoppers here. Maybe for your next adventure?? lots of love- I know you will have a blast!
